Job Title: Senior People Partner

Location: Manchester (2days per week, 3 from home)

Salary: £65-70k per annum – may flex for a superstar

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Start: ASAP but they will wait for the right person


Our client is looking for a dynamic HRBP to join their People team and sit within their Manchester

Tech Hub.

What You’ll Be Doing…

Reporting to the Head of People Business Partnering, you will be an integral part of

bringing the People Strategy to life. You will be a true partner to the business ensuring alignment

on organisation and people capabilities. This role is quick-paced and multi-faceted with a focus

on several projects at any one time whilst responding to the operational HR needs.



● Support the embedding of business strategy through appropriate, proactive and timely

business partnering.

● Build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

● Provide coaching and feedback to managers and individual contributors

● Gain a deep understanding of the business including its performance drivers and metrics

● Support the delivery of cost effective and value-added People programs and solutions

● Support the delivery of Group as well as local HR initiatives and processes. This includes

organisational change, performance and talent management as well as benefits.

● Manage and resolve senior Employee Relations (ER) issues in a sensitive and

appropriate manner.

● Project manage the delivery of the engagement survey and drive the agenda

● Prepare and facilitate calibration sessions with Managers in relation to the performance


● Hold talent review sessions to identify top talent and set a plan for their development

● Develop the HR team to increase competencies for development into HR Business


● Partner with Recruitment and L&D to deliver on People initiatives

● Analysis of relevant data to provide insights to Management

● Use Insights to build solutions, processes and programs, which promote a high

performing culture

● Work with the People team on Group wide programs and initiatives. Ensure

harmonisation on processes and procedures as well as systems where appropriate.


You'll be a good fit for this role if you hold:


● A relevant HR qualification - CIPD Level 7 or above

● A solid background as a technical HR generalist

● Experience in fast paced environments (itech, e-commerce, media or retail environments


● A commercial and pragmatic approach to delivering solutions in response to business


● Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence with impact

● Strong verbal and written communication

● Ability to develop effective working relationships at all levels

● Strong planning and time management skills to enable effective prioritisation of many


● The drive to deliver results that have people and business impact

● Ability to work with ‘centers of excellence’ within the People team to deliver results

● Proven ability to be adapt and be agile in a evolving and scaling organisation

● Experience managing and leading a team

● The ability to work at both an operational as well as strategic level. Inclusive of being

able to deliver on projects end to end on time

● Strong understanding and interpretation of employment law and implications to people


● Excellent attention to detail

● Great sense of humour, empathy, creative yet pragmatic
