Newly created role of L&D Manager for prestigious organisation in East London

Your new company
A prestigious organisation based in East London requires an L&D Manager to join their People and Culture team on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role that requires a positive and engaging L&D professional to create and deliver a range of blending learning initiatives to enable employees to thrive. You'll lead projects to increase management capability and implement and shape a new approach to learning whilst embedding the organisational behaviours.

Your new role

  • Align L&D plans to wider strategic goals
  • Lead on the delivery of a wide range of L&D Projects, and work closely with the wider HR team on broader talent/people projects
  • Take the lead on succession planning and talent management
  • Personally create & deliver positive and impactful learning solutions
  • Design and deliver courses, workshops and other blended learning
  • Develop manager forum/ workshops to engage line managers in current topics, create peer to peer learning opportunities
  • Identification of learning needs, utilise outputs of SHL and other similar personality and ability assessments to help drive learning needs
  • Manage all stages of the learning cycle including: learning needs analysis, design, delivery and evaluation
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external training providers and coaches
  • Develop and coach managers to take ownership for creating a learning culture
  • Identify, negotiate and implement L&D initiatives (internally and externally provided) that are appropriate and varied, including: coaching, job-shadowing, online training.
  • Assessing the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities
  • Tracking budgets and negotiating learning contracts


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will have prior experience within an L&D Manager role, designing and delivering learning interventions in line with strategic objectives. You will have a high degree of emotional intelligence and strong influencing and relationship skills. You will be a positive and engaging presenter and a proactive idea generator, using research and best practice to guide thinking. Digitally confident and able - comfortable working with online platforms.
