Ashley Kate HR are supporting with a well established, St Albans based Distribution organisation who are looking to appoint a  HR People Partner.
 
This is a permanent role offering a hybrid working model and a salary of £45k.
 
This is a vital role within the HR team where you will take the lead in partnering with managers in providing the right resource to deliver business objectives. A key part of the role will be to source, attract and retain talent ensuring the business has key skills in place to support future strategy.
 
This a varied role that will also require generalist experience in providing HR guidance, analysing trends and metrics with the HR team and resolving complex employee relations issues. You will be expected to build employee-based initiatives to support business needs and skills gaps
 
This is the ideal opportunity for an ambitious Senior HR Advisor seeking the next step in their career.
 
You will be highly commercially focused and be responsible for looking at the business needs providing practical HR solutions in line with the organisations planned development.  
 
·Work to define and implement a Recruitment and Talent Strategy
·Ensure recruitment, selection and on-boarding processes are carried out in a timely, fair and compliant way to employ the best people available
·Align talent and skills with existing roles and responsibilities
·Consult with line management and provide daily HR guidance
·Analyse trends and metrics with the HR department
·Manages complex and challenging employee relations issues
·Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
·Identify training needs for teams and individuals
·Evaluate training programs
·Be proactive in proposing new HR strategies
·Involvement in meetings of a HR nature to offer support and advice
·Producing management and productivity reports
·Occasional travel to other sites to offer HR support
 
HR Manager - About you
·Proven background working at a HR generalist, operational level within a blue collar workforce
·CIPD qualified or working towards
·Strong resource/recruitment experience
·Strong UK Employment Law Knowledge, ideally union experience
·Exceptional at building relationships, communication & excellent leadership skills
·Prior involvement in influencing executive & senior managers
