Page Personnel are partnering with a well-established and credible legal firm who are looking for a Learning and Development Advisor to join their team. The Learning and Development Advisor will be responsible for providing support on the entire Early Careers Lifecycle, with a particular focus on professional development.

Description

The Learning and Development Advisor will be responsible for:

  • Working with key stakeholders, suppliers and subject matter experts to ensure efficient programme management, coordination and delivery of a wide range of professional and soft skills-based learning and development courses, workshops and programmes in accordance with the Firms strategy
  • Provide support and assistance on all areas of the Early Careers Lifecycle focusing on their professional development and the routes available to them
  • Providing assistance for the development of apprenticeship pathways to support Early Careers and our existing people's development
  • Maintain effective relationships with third party training providers
  • Supporting current and future apprentices within the Firm
  • Assisting the Senior L&D Advisor with the budget forecasting
  • Managing the development and the ongoing maintenance and promotion of the Firms LMS; with guidance from the Senior L&D Advisor whilst acting as a point of content for system queries and providing our people with training on the system where required
  • Provide analysis and data on activities, costs, performance, etc. when requested and specifically when required by budgeting and business planning processes
  • Manage the Firm's account with MBL seminars
  • Assisting the People and Development Manager and Director with ad hoc people projects
  • Any other ad hoc duties as required

Profile

The successful Learning and Development Advisor will have:

  • Experience of working within a busy L&D function at Advisor level is essential for this role
  • Track record of supporting processes and delivering projects that represent value for money and enhance organisational capability
  • Client focused and commercial - understands the business relationship dynamic and how to make ideas practical, relevant and value for money
  • Is engaging, articulate, facilitative, sensitive and structured and manages internal and external stakeholder relationships effectively
  • Has the confidence to facilitate team-based activity for internal stakeholders- sometimes in conjunction with external training suppliers, sometimes alone
  • Appropriately assertive in giving and accepting feedback
  • Able to assimilate information quickly to understand the organisational environment and culture and then navigate successfully within it
  • Creative and innovative - able to look at problems from different angles
  • Solution-orientated
  • Collaborative - works effectively with and through people
