Job Details

The HR/ Office Administrator will be responsible for providing efficient HR and general administrative support to Management, as well as the Operations, Sales, HR, and Finance teams.

Client Details

My client is a leading Engineering business based in Middlesbrough.


Key responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming telephone calls
  • Greet, register and manage visitors
  • Support all departments with general administration tasks
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Work with the Recruitment/ Resourcing and HR functions to deliver HR projects
  • Provide support to upload documents and site worker details to customer portals
  • Responsible for maintenance of the Learning Management System
  • Prepare, issue and manage temporary worker contracts
  • HR administration duties, including dealing with new starter details, temporary workers and logging information on the HR system
  • Maintain temporary worker database including identifying training and medical requirements
  • Manage travel and accommodation requirements, including budget management and cost control
  • Monitor mailboxes and distribute emails
  • Organise sales and customer meetings
  • Support planning and arrangements for exhibitions and conferences
  • Organise travel for UK visitors
  • Prepare and issue Covid-19 information and documents for employees travelling to UK and overseas sites


  • Experience of working in a busy, fast-paced department
  • Experience in general administration
  • Strong MS Office suite competency
  • Ideally familiar with SAP systems
  • Knowledge of HR administration and employment contract requirements
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

Job Offer

  • £22,000 - £25,000 per annum
