Applications are invited for the position of Interim HR Manager at The Queen’s College.

The Interim HR Manager will be responsible to the Domestic Bursar for the management of a consultation on terms and conditions for staff working in the College. The consultation will also include consideration of flexible working, following the experience of working flexibly during the global pandemic.

The person appointed must have relevant professional qualifications, (CIPD or equivalent), together with excellent liaison and communication skills, as well as experience and expertise of conducting consultations, working with staff individually and collectively, and advising senior College members on the process. Following the consultation any agreed changes to the terms and conditions will be documented in employee contracts. Equally, excellent written communication skills are essential. An HRIS implementation project is underway with a systems manager overseeing the installation, and the Interim HR Manager will be responsible to develop and document personnel policies and procedures linked to the HR Information System. Further they will provide ongoing support to managers on carrying these out, fairly and consistently, and ensure full user potential of the new HRIS in doing so.

The post holder will also have a commitment to the values of higher education and familiarity with human resources issues in higher education is desirable.
