Page Personnel HR are working with a manufacturing company in Bolton who are seeking an HR Manager to join and support the business in a standalone role. The role is generalist and a great opportunity for someone wanting to develop an HR function and create a positive working environment.

Client Details

Our client are a small manufacturing business with offices in Bolton. Due to growth, they are seeking an experienced HR Manager to have full responsibility for the HR function. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make an impact and is passionate about creating a positive-working environment.

Description

The key responsibilities for the HR Manager are managing the full recruitment and onboarding process, maintaining organisation structure, amending job descriptions as appropriate, implementing and managing appraisal systems, coaching and mentoring line managers in relation to performance and attendance issues, handling disciplinary and grievance procedures, managing rewards and benefits, working with managers to identify training needs, designing and implementing training programmes, maintaining HR data. The role is based in Bolton.

Profile

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • previous experience in a similar role
  • background in manufacturing advantageous
  • strong people management skills
  • excellent organisation and time management skills
  • strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • ability to build strong relationships with people at all levels
  • strong knowledge of employment law
  • proven track record of dealing with complex ER issues
  • a passion for employee engagement
  • CIPD Level 5 desired but not essential
