The HR Assistant will join a busy HR team and will be responsible for providing efficient HR and Recruitment administration, as well as supporting the HR Business Partner and HR Manager in employee meetings and reviews.

My client is a leading organisation based in North Tyneside.

Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Act a point of contact to provide general advice on HR policies and procedures
  • Provide support to the HR Business Partner and HR Manager
  • Provide support on recruitment activities
  • Assist with interviews and issue relevant correspondence
  • Administer HR-related documentation, including new starter packs and contracts of employment
  • Manage weekly starters and leavers, ensuring they are processed on the system
  • Ensure that all relevant letters are issued and documented
  • Work with external recruitment agencies
  • Work with external payroll, pensions administration and occupational health providers
  • Provide administrative support in employee meetings, such as disciplinary and sickness/ absence reviews
  • Take meeting notes and provide follow-up correspondence
  • Assist managers to arrange formal HR meetings
  • Contribute to HR improvement projects
  • Adhere to GDPR legislation

Profile

  • Articulate, professional, and educated to a high standard
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with managers and stakeholders
  • High level of accuracy and an excellent attention to detail
  • Previous HR administrative/ assistant-level experience
  • A good understanding of HR principles and procedures
  • Experience of recruitment administration is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
