Are you an experienced HR Manager working in a fast paced, multi sited private environment such as Retail, Leisure, or Facilities?

Are you CIPD qualified?

Are you an experienced Team Manager, used to managing people at HR Partner level, and looking for work in South East London?

We are currently recruiting for a HR Manager to join our client on a full-time permanent basis in South East London. Reporting to the HR Director, you will overall for a team of 6 (2 direct reports)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company and will play a pivotal role in the delivery of the people strategy. 

About the role

  • You will oversee all areas of the HR department and activities of the HR team, including development.
  • Lead and guide the HR team giving support and assistance where needed.
  • Escalation point for all ER cases including disciplinaries, grievances, attendance meetings and performance issues.
  • MI reporting all HR activities.
  • Review and advise on any changes needed across the HR function, including policies and procedures.
  • Working closely with the HR Director to ensure the HR strategy is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Working closely with the L&D Manager to ensure and sound alignment between L&D activities are succinct.
  • Work closely with the payroll department.
  • Support and deliver their D&I initiative
  • Hybrid working - 3 days in the office, 2 from home

About you

  • CIPD level 5 - minimum
  • Experience of operating at HR manager level in a fast paced, multi sited business.
  • Able to build strong relationships and achieving shared goals.
  • Proven ability to deliver strategic plans for the HR department.
  • An analytical and critical thinker who provides sound judgement and the ability to make difficult challenges decisions.
  • Experience of working as a HR generalist, leading, and supporting a team; working closely with all levels of colleagues.
  • A comprehensive understanding of current UK employment law with the ability to apply this knowledge and advise colleagues confidently.
