This is a permanent position for a Learning & Development Advisor to join a global transport business.

The L&D Advisor position will be Hybrid working and will involve the following tasks:

Learning and Development, Diversity and Inclusion

  • Design and deliver individual training proposals tailored to suit the business notably around coaching, appraisals, objective setting
  • Develop career plans that support the strategic direction of teams where individuals are aware of their own career path and future opportunities
  • Work alongside Heads of Department to identify suitable technical training for business needs
  • With the assistance of Heads of Department and Line Managers, identify and develop talent within the business.
  • Continue to develop the mentoring program
  • Take ownership for the Evaluation online performance management system
  • Create opportunities for internships, apprenticeships (maximise government incentives), work shadowing and graduate schemes to inspire and attract a cross section of recruits into the business
  • Collaborate with the organisations entities to share best practice
  • Develop a broad D+I agenda in line with the organisations objectives and business requirements

The successful candidate for the L&D Advisor role will need to have the following skills and experience:

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
  • Experience in developing and delivering training including organising and running workshops with business users to gather requirements and delivering training sessions
  • Involvement in talent identification and development programmes
  • Proactive mindset for continuous improvement
  • Ability to work under pressure displaying emotional intelligence and resilience
  • Naturally positive negotiator and influencer
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate a creative approach that will inspire other to participate and contribute
  • Strong learning and development network to keep abreast of current ideas and legislative changes
  • Good understanding of Microsoft packages, with strong presentation skills
