This is a strategic and operational excellence role that will ensure my client's pay, pensions and reward package is aligned to the strategic direction of the organisation's goals and people strategy, and that operational requirements are delivered effectively and accurately

Client Details

My client is an independent regulatory body, with their Head Office located in Cheshire. They are currently undergoing a period of transformation and growth, and an HR structure realignment, and as a result are seeking an experienced Reward Partner to lead on their Reward strategy, alongside the broader HR team. Description

This role bears responsiblity for ensuring the most effective pay and reward frameworks, policies and practices are deployed to support and advance organisational objectives. This includes developing, leading and implementing a total reward strategy, labour market benchmarking, job evaluation, and payroll efficiencies.

Working closely with People Services team to ensure that there is an accurate exchange of information, the Reward Business partner will lead the delivery of a high quality service.

Other responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;

  • Through close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, lead the development of effective pay and reward plans, processes and strategies
  • Engagement and contract management of payroll, pension and reward providers ensuring that services are delivered to the expected standards
  • Using robust and effective analysis to inform pay and reward objectives, monitor the effectiveness of services and thoroughly evaluate pay, pension and reward strategies
  • Design pay structures and pay progression arrangements that ensure the values, behaviours, performances and attitudes of employees are successfully rewarded and recognised
  • Engagement with trade unions regarding the development and negotiation of pay and reward reviews
  • Management of compliance with pay and pension regulations and relevant public sector guidance, including Treasury Pay Guidance

Profile

The ideal candidate will have circa 5 years experience in a Pay & Rewards specialist role, ideally within a Public Sector organisation, although sector experience is not essential. The successful candidate must be a confident self-starter, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels, with experience of devising and delivering Pay & Reward strategies. They must have experience managing third party contracts and relationships. Strong people skills are a must in this role.
