HR Consultant - 9-12 month FTC - Within an Independent Insurance Group - Fully Remote - circa £35000 plus bens

Your new company
This is a high performing service company who has evolved, changed and grown. As a result of internal promotions, your new company is looking to employ an additional HR consultant to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain fantastic learning and development experience within a complex, varied, and fast paced role.

Your new role
Your new role is primarily home based, but you will be expected to periodically travel to Southern Offices to provide business support, and presence.

Reporting to the Head of HR, your role will be generalist in nature .You will be primarily responsible for the provision of a professional, commercial and business driven HR service to the businesses within a complex operational situations. This will include all areas of ER from absence management, performance management, investigation, disciplinary & grievances, appeals etc.

Additionally you will be supporting Line Managers with a varied degree of HR and management knowledge and developing effective relationships with senior team leaders.

You will also provide support and lead on relevant change, restructure and integration projects and programmes.

Additionally, you'll also be providing employment law advice, and guidance where required on HR policies and procedures.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will have a solid background in generalist HR activities, including ER, employment law, coaching, problem solving, and policy writing.

A CIPD qualification is ideal, but not required.

Previous experience at consultant level within a high paced environment is desired.

Ideally live within the East of England, i.e Norwich, Colchester, Ipswich, as periodic travel may be required.

You will have the ability to make balanced HR decisions, use your initiative, and be self motivated.

You will be able to prioritise changing demand, and work proactively in a customer focused mindset.

Additionally, you will have commercial awareness, with the ability to understand business acumen (business language).
