This is an exceptional opportunity for a candidate who is seeking their first HR Advisor role. Our client is seeking an individual who is keen to progress within their HR career and will even fund sponsorship for CIPD!

This generalist role operates as part of the Human Resources team to provide support and guidance to around 400 staff and managers.

Description Of Main Responsibilities:

To advise, provide support to and coach managers on a range of Human Resources matters in line with the needs of the organisation, best practice and current employment legislation
To support and advise line managers on the handling of employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance management, heath and sickness absence management and flexible working, attending formal hearings, where required
To support the management of the recruitment process including advertising of vacancies, arranging of interviews and interviewing with line managers, as appropriate, and undertaking of pre-employment checks
To draft and issue contracts of employment and any subsequent variations
To maintain staff records, both manually and using an HR system, generating reports, as appropriate.
To provide administrative support for the training and development of staff, with the potential to support and conduct training sessions, as required.
To support and undertake in the running of the induction processes
To support the organisation's performance management and appraisal processes, providing support to line managers, as appropriate
To provide support to the compensation and benefit processes
To undertake Human Resources projects, initiatives and other duties appropriate to the role.

Person Specification

Previous experience gained within a HR department with some basic HR basic advisory experience
Demonstrable knowledge of current employment law and best practice.
Experience of supporting and coaching line managers in a range of Human Resources issues, including disciplinary, grievance and capability issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong IT skills, with experience of working with an HR system desirable.
Strong administrative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
