Were seeking a HR Advisor to join a friendly and busy HR department for a not for profit organisation


We have an exciting position for an HR Advisor to join a proactive team in Southampton, where you really will have the opportunity to have an impact and make a difference.

As part of a small HR team, supporting the HR Manager, you will deliver an effective and efficient HR service to both staff and managers. You will be calm, level-headed and objective in your interactions, yet resilient and persuasive when necessary.

Full of enthusiasm, with a driven and proactive approach and lots of initiative, you will go out of your way to get to know our employees, and have the confidence and strong communication skills to influence with tact and diplomacy.
Core tasks include : -

  • Providing advice and support to managers on HR policies and procedures, advising on discipline and grievance along with managing employee relation cases as required. including sickness, absence, performance, disciplinary.
  • Supporting the whole recruitment process from start to finish, including drafting and placement of adverts, checking the eligibility of applicants, selection, DBS screening, contract preparation and on-boarding, and requesting references
  • Conducting and reviewing exit interview feedback, identifying trends and areas for future action
  • Developing and communicating relevant policies, procedures and processes, in line with current employment law
  • Sourcing and evaluating cost effective training providers to meet business requirement


Candidates
We are seeking HR professionals with at an HR Assistant/HR Advisory level along with with exposure to ER case work and a HR generalist activities.
Ideally you should have or be working towards a CIPD Level 5 qualification as a minimum, or equivalent, or be able to demonstrate the equivalent practical work experience.
Flexible working arrangements are available with this role.

Hybrid working available - circa 3 days on site/2 home
Central Southampton - Free Parking
