L&D, Performance & Talent SME for the enhancement of a new LMS technology and employee experience.


Were seeking an experienced L&D, Performance and Talent workstream SME for the implementation of the next phase of and organisation L&D Transformation strategy, leveraging LMS technology to create an integrated and employee centric experience for Performance and Talent that reduces administrative overheads, provides managers with the tools and data to support effective talent/ performance processes and decision making, and enables our people to fulfil their potential through ownership of their career journey.

The primary purpose of the role would be to provide the knowledge and expertise within the Talent & Performance space to ensure that the functional requirements, key milestones and success factors of the project scope are delivered.

Key deliverable

  • Alignment with key project success measures and L&D/Talent strategies.
  • Success Measures… input into the Talent and Performance workstream delivery success measures, providing reporting and commentary on performance against defined measures.
  • Employee Experience... facilitate and create end-to-end persona journeys for performance and talent to map an integrated L&D ecosystem that brings together technology, process, employee touch-points and service delivery, aligned with the Employee Experience vision, L&D Statement of Practice and Workday R2 scope and deliverables.
  • Process SME… for the Talent and Performance Workday workstreams. Working closely with the Learning SME, Functional Lead and project stakeholders, attend workshops to provide SME input, make key process related decisions and support the definition of processes policies, business rules and procedures, articulating the contexts in which these rules, processes and policies are applied and helping HR and the business in understanding/translating the Workday language/terms/jargon into organisation language and context.
  • Technology Integration… co-ordinate the system integration between Degreed and Workday, ensuring alignment with the L&D technology strategy.
  • Collaboration… working with the Workday Release 2 HR Project team to identify delivery impacts on other areas of HR and the business - collaborating across the HR function to ensure a unified and joined up approach is achieved. To act as the 'go to' person within HR for questions and support relating to the Talent and Performance deliverables.
  • Resolve risks & issues… relevant to the Talent and Performance workstreams, identifying and reporting on identified risks and issues to the Workday Release 2 Project team and providing recommendations to resolve.
  • Engagement… define stakeholder groups for Talent and Performance workstreams, working closely with the Functional Lead, Learning SME and Readiness lead to co-ordinate and deliver the Performance and Talent aspects of the Workday Release 2 HR project team Comms & Engagement plan creating excitement and adoption across the business.
  • Test Execution… input into the definition of test scripts and the delivery of the Performance and Talent aspects of the Workday Release 2 HR Project test plan with stakeholder groups that engages identified 'Influencers', 'Promoters' and 'Detractors' to successfully evaluate the solution for alignment with the desired employee experience and project requirements.
  • Training… provide input into and deliver training and support materials that supports engagement and adoption of the solution, is future-proofed, and aligned with persona journeys. To provide input into and deliver training and support materials to ensure successful knowledge Transfer from the Project/Implementation Partners is delivered, both to end users and system administration roles.
  • Data Migration...provide SME input into the successful migration of data from YourCareer to Workday.
