Salary £37,000 - £40,000 plus benefits
Location: Yorkshire or Manchester or Birmingham

Macmillan Davies are delighted to be assisting this leading global business law firm in their search for an HR Business Advisor.

The main purpose of the HR Business Advisor is to work as part of a wider HR team in providing an efficient and commercially focused business advisory service. You will be supporting UK wide managers, partners, leaders and employees in addition to working closely with other teams, including the HR Business Partners, HR Operations and HR Shared Services to deliver a seamless HR service.

The role of HR Business Advisor is offered on a permanent basis and can be based out of either the Yorkshire, Manchester or Birmingham offices with a hybrid working pattern of 2-3 days onsite.

Main duties & responsibilities;

*Advise and coach business managers and Partners across the UK to effectively manage all informal and formal ER cases, including performance improvement, disciplinary, grievance, capability, sickness absence, redundancy etc from initiation to completion, in line with the firms policies and processes.
*Confidently provide expert, commercial and best practice HR advice to all stakeholders, including managers, HR Business Partners and business leaders.
*Apply expertise and judgement to complex and demanding ER cases and identify and communicate any significant ER risks to the HR Business Advisory Team Manager or HR Business Partners
*Actively contribute to the HR Transformation project by inputting into process development discussions and supporting the knowledge transfer to the HR Shared Service Centre
*Pro-actively identify and develop process improvements suggestions within day to day work and work in conjunction with the HR Business Advisory Team Manager to implement changes effectively

Skills & Experience;

*Excellent level of understanding and experience in a similar HR Business Advisory role within a large scale or Partnership organisation
*Proven experience of managing and making decisions on all ER case types from initiation through to conclusion without close supervision
*A self-starter who is pro-active and driven and has an appetite to support the evolving HR Function
*Confident influencing stakeholders at all levels with a confident approach and proven record of reaching a conclusion that balances best practice HR advice whilst achieving business aims and objectives
*Strong communication skills across all methods of interaction and able to manage multiple cases at one time, keeping key stakeholders informed at throughout
*Strong knowledge of UK employment law and confident using expertise to build trust and credibility in the decision making process.
*Proven experience of working in a fast paced environment and delivering to tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality, attention to detail and high standards across all cases
*Experience of being part of a HR Transformation, including mapping processes, transitioning onto new HR Systems and being comfortable with new ways of working.
