Hybrid HR Manager job in North Nottingham

Your new role

In this role you will have overall site HR responsibility for c200 employees. You will support the HR Business Partner with long term plans for R&D, Finance, Sales & Marketing in addition to day to day point of contact for these employee groups. As an integral part of the site leadership team, you will report into the site manager and influence the strategic direction of the plant and support the long term plans for the facility

  • Support the HR team in building talent capability and utilise data to identify, assess and address critical functional talent needs.
  • Support functional business leads to build their talent pipeline and focus on employee development and L&D activities.
  • Drive functional productivity and effectiveness actions to increase collaboration, integration and functional alignment
  • Coach managers and employees in understanding and applying HR tools to improve organization performance through employee engagement and manager effectiveness.
  • Build organizational capability by attracting and retaining talent across the functions and operations, including partnering with local colleges and universities.
  • Lead site functional talent reviews in conjunction with the functional leaders
  • Promote continuous improvement using Lean management tools such as standard work, problem-solving techniques and work instructions.
  • Develop HR policies, practices and programs to manage talent, drive culture, and align the organization.
  • Be an active change agent, focusing on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures providing direct support and coaching to all levels of managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions.
  • In conjunction with the site Operational HR lead prepare and analyse key metrics for the monthly HR Operating Review with supporting actions

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong HR Generalist ideally with a manufacturing/engineering background.
  • Strong employment law knowledge
  • Staff management experience
