The Learning and Development Manager will lead, develop and deliver the site's L&D strategy focusing on upskilling and creating a positive coaching culture, and will lead the training team to deliver advice, guidance and direction to the wider business on all L&D-related matters.

Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and delivery of the site's Learning and Development strategy and activities
  • Work closely with and coach key site groups including the Leadership and Senior Management teams, line managers and colleagues
  • Own and manage the site's training budget, ensuring prioritisation of spend and return on investment
  • Ensure all site training records and skills matrices are accurately maintained
  • Lead, manage and develop the L&D and Training teams, including all people management activities and coaching
  • Work with the wider HR function including the Organisational Development team
  • Contribute to key L&D site projects to drive continuous improvement
  • Use data and insight to support decision making and to drive activities and deliver improved business performance
  • Develop and deliver an ongoing plan for compliance training
  • Coach and provide guidance to line managers on all aspects of L&D and training activity to create a positive learning culture and environment
  • Create and implement training plans and relevant supporting materials
  • Perform skills-needs assessments in line with training skills matrices, and deliver coaching on the shop floor as and when required
  • Support the delivery of the L&D communications strategy
  • Partner with the HR Manager and wider HR team to ensure alignment and delivery across both HR and L&D functions
  • Own and manage HR projects as needed

Profile

  • Degree or similar qualification in a relevant subject
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified - L&D
  • Line management experience is essential
  • Experience of working in a business partnering role
  • Previous L&D experience is essential
  • Experience in a Manufacturing environment
  • Project management experience
  • Experience of delivering training and Train the Trainer
  • Budget management experience
  • Coaching accreditation is desirable
  • Business improvement qualification is advantageous
  • Skilled in reporting and analysis
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Offer

  • Salary of £37,000 - £40,000 per annum
