Description

  • Advise Senior Management on HR strategies, policies and practices.
  • Provide advice on all ER matters and providing solutions in line with employment legislation and business objective
  • Attend and report at monthly Operations meeting and report on key MI
  • Plan and facilitate new HR policy and procedure in line with legislation
  • Facilitate employee engagement survey and roll out HR initiatives that arise
  • Advise on and employment staff PIPs to meet identifies needs and areas of concern to satisfy company requirement
  • Advise on, roll out and communicate HR projects according to employment legislation (restructure, contractual changes)
  • Facilitate comps and bens management systems and the operation of the Practice's pay structure and bonus scheme
  • Undertake internal and external bench marking to ensure comps and bens are both competitive and equitable
  • Liaise with insurance brokers on all administration relating to Private Medical, Group life insurance and the Group PHI scheme, including renewals and claims.
  • To advise and find solutions on dismissal in line with legislation and to meet company requirement
  • Advise on handling disciplinary, performance management and grievance matters
  • Keep contracts of employment, policy and other legal documentation up-to-date as new legislation arises
  • Keep up to date and put forward HR initiatives to support Diversity and Inclusion agenda
  • Keep up to date with new legislation and good personnel practice and introduce innovations we appropriate
  • Plan and facilitate the annual programme of Staff Reviews, put forward staff development programmes to meet identified training needs
  • Evaluate feedback on training courses attended
  • Continuously evaluate and improve HR information systems to ensure that data held can generate accurate reports for decision-making on key personnel issues and completion of surveys
  • Line management and development of the HR team
  • Oversee and provide guidance to recruitment process and resourcing of staff internally
  • Oversee and provide guidance to HR Advisor on the immigration/visa/work permit process and the Company's sponsorship license
  • Oversee and provide guidance to HR team on annual and sick leave, maternity, paternity and parental leave
  • Other duties as required

Profile

  • CIPD qualified
  • Proven HR Manager experience in medium size organisation (300+ staff)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to manage and deliver multiple projects with similar deadlines
  • Understanding of current employment legislation and HR compliance
  • Experience managing and developing a team
  • Able to prioritise and delegate work
  • Experience writing policies
  • Excellent inter-personal, communication and presentation skills
  • Able to work on own initiative, but also as part of a team
  • Confident working with and speaking to people at all levels
