HR Business Partner (Academic Services)
Full Time, Permanent
Salary Grade 6:
£33,471 - £38,802

This Royal Conservatoire of Scotland is a world-class centre of excellence in performing arts education and this is an exciting time to play your part in our HR team. RCS is a dynamic and interesting environment and your contribution as an HR Business Partner will be crucial to ensuring the Conservatoire community of students and staff remains active and responsive to change as we progress out of the pandemic and look forward to the future.

You will provide HR advice and guidance on a wide range of activities, including but not limited to: recruitment, workforce planning, recruitment & selection, employee relations, performance management, reward & recognition, staff development, health & wellbeing, change management, policy management, and employee engagement.

Working in collaboration with the academic leadership teams you will proactively identify and resolve any people capacity or capability issues that inhibit performance and student achievement, whilst coaching leaders to resolve any issues.

To be effective within the role you will need to be able to demonstrate extensive and proven experience of resolving complex HR matters and have experience of engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders to improve people performance.

This role will work in collaboration with the Director and Deputy Director of HR to design and implement company-wide people initiatives. There is line management required within this role as an HR Business Partner (Professional Services), HR Administrators, and the Business Improvement Team provide support to the broader HR function.

This is an exciting, rewarding and varied role, but you will need to enjoy a fast-paced challenge at a time of change. Proven HR team leadership experience is essential alongside generalist HR knowledge and experience.

We will coach you to understand the complexities of the Higher Education sector, so candidates from all sectors that believe that they have the required skills & values are encouraged to apply. The role will have the option to work flexibly.

Closing date for applications: Monday 13 December 2021
