Job Details

The People team is responsible for the design and delivery of the People strategy across Europe. It is comprised of three operational functions: Recruitment and Onboarding, HR and Learning and Development. 

The People team have been part of a wider plan to professionalize services to the business. This includes embedding a learning culture and communicating the benefits of learning, development and investment in future talent and succession planning for our existing teams.

The Learning and Development (L&D) function has reviewed current delivery, implemented new approaches and is currently planning a strategic vision for the next five years. This is an exciting time to join and will provide the opportunity to explore, develop learning initiatives and create a programme for the future of Frontier.

 The Learning and Development Lead is responsible for partnering with practices, employee project teams and offices to deliver learning and development programmes across Europe. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Learning and Development and wider People Team to meet our L&D objectives. 

The L&D Lead will ensure learning and development influences improved performance in the workplace at an individual, team and organisational level. They will be creative, full of new ideas to transform our learning vision and have excellent organisational and project management skills. Working with a variety of stakeholders, collaborating on the strategy, progress and implementation of our learning plans whilst continuously promoting best practice. When safe to do so, there will be a requirement for local and overseas travel.

We are looking for a talented team player, with specialised skills and valuable expertise, who has a desire to advance their career path. As a Lead your responsibilities will include:  

 Business partnering: Work with the Head of L&D and wider People team to develop our strategic focus and implement business partnering across the organisation.

Learning and Development design: Manage the full learning cycle, design and deliver training programmes for all staff. Evaluate learning needs and act as a trusted advisor.  

Relationship building and supplier management: Establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders, using experience to evidence the value of change. Develop relationships with learning providers delivering high quality and innovative learning experiences to all staff.

Internal management: Programme management of the core learning programme, appraise current processes and policies, team management review and assist with building a professional service to the firm.

Frontier Ambassador:  Work in line with the firm’s values to promote and develop People related activities across the firm.

In addition the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Design and deliver learning initiatives, choosing correct resource, evaluating and implementing changes to continuously improve.
  • Informed contributions to team planning and strategy conversations.
  • Demonstrable trust and confidence of key stakeholders – reflected in individual feedback.
  • Managing multiple projects, delivering outcomes on time, within budget and creating measurable results.
  • Decision making within programmes and taking accountability for actions.
  • Consistent stakeholder feedback on business awareness, influence, outcome focus and ease to work with.
  • Transition to successful ownership of L&D programmes, motivating teams and achieve objectives. 
  • A wide, productive and positive network of key stakeholders, likely to span international territories, remits, teams and grades.

Essential Experience

  • Learning and Development professional with work experience in a business partnering setting or similar.
  • Strong project management experience, working on multiple projects successfully.
  • Confident with Blended Learning methods and ability to flex approach and delivery style.
  • Proven experience in the full L&D lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of creating digital solutions/eLearning.
  • Demonstrate successful programme delivery with defined outcomes.
  • People management- ideally have managed at least one direct report.
  • Experience of delivering internal projects.
  • Experience of learning and development reporting; analysing, manipulating data and metrics using Excel, LMS or other HRIS data.
  • Experience of working with and advising diverse stakeholders. 
  • Possess excellent communication skills, with an ability to build rapport quickly and effectively. 
  • Strong IT skills – particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Desirable Experience

  • CIPD or Professional L&D Qualification.
  • Work experience in a professional services or financial services firm. 
  • Experience working across Europe, navigating the challenges of global delivery.
  • Change Management – both with people and processes.
  • Knowledge of the Economic Consulting market.
  • Languages- German, Spanish, French.
