The HR/ Recruitment Assistant will lead on a variety of recruitment campaigns including managing candidate applications, arranging interviews and onboarding new starters, as well as providing an efficient HR administrative service to managers and the wider HR team.

My client is a leading Not for Profit organisation based in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Description

  • Lead on Recruitment campaigns including managing applications, arranging interviews and onboarding new starters
  • Provide an efficient HR and Recruitment administrative service to managers
  • Liaise with HR Business Partners and HR Officers to coordinate vacancy approval
  • Draft and publish engaging adverts for vacancies
  • Monitor responses to job adverts and contact suitable candidates
  • Coordinate candidate selection and shortlisting processes
  • Schedule interview dates, manage special requirements and confirm candidate attendance
  • Be the first point of contact for applicant queries, ensuring that candidates have all the required information prior to interview
  • Ensure appropriate all pre-employment checks are received, including references and DBS checks
  • Send out offer packs to successful candidates and ensure all pre-employment paperwork is completed and returned
  • Create personnel files for new starters
  • Support the HR team with issuing contracts of employments
  • Take a lead on the management of the internal recruitment system and ensure data and records are accurate and up to date

Profile

  • Previous Recruitment experience
  • Previous experience of working with HR policies and procedures
  • CIPD Level 3
  • Ability to support on a variety of recruitment campaigns, including the organisation of interviews and candidate shortlisting
  • Work with external recruitment agencies
  • Work with an Applicant Tracking System and HR database
  • Experience of using social media
  • Experience of posting adverts via online job boards
  • Previous experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to plan and prioritise a busy workload
  • Role is subject to a DBS check
