Job Details


The HR Assistant will be the first point of contact for all HR-related queries, and will provide an efficient administrative service to the HR team.

My client is a leading national business based in the South Tyneside area.

Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for all HR-related queries
  • Manage weekly starters and leavers, ensuring they are processed by payroll
  • Ensure that all relevant employee letters are issued and documented
  • Administer HR-related documentation, including new starter packs and contracts of employment
  • Ensure employee records are accurately maintained
  • Arrange new starter inductions
  • Coordinate drugs and alcohol testing as and when required
  • Arrange and assist with note taking of disciplinaries
  • Assist with recruitment and liaise with external agencies
  • Advertise job vacancies
  • Coordinate interviews and issue relevant correspondence
  • Keep track of all new starters and probationary review dates
  • Adhere to GDPR legislation, conduct audits and ensure that all office and sites follow guidelines
  • Provide support to the wider HR team

Profile

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced/ high volume environment
  • Previous experience of working in a busy HR department
  • Basic understanding of ER and current employment legislation
  • Previous experience in a HR administrative role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills

Job Offer

  • £20,000 - £23,500 per annum
