My client, a global top Insurance firm, have identified the need for a brand new Resourcing and Workforce Planning Specialist.

Reporting into the Head of HR, this role will take the lead in helping hiring managers plan their resourcing and to make the right staffing decisions using data, advice and insight.

You will have a key focus on the contingent worker workforce and maintain an accurate picture of new starters, leavers, movers, and contractor extensions. You'll build the kind of relationships where you become a trusted advisor.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Create relationships with hiring managers of contingent workers, Head of Departments, Finance, Talent Acquisition and HR
  • Help hiring managers to develop their sourcing strategies and regularly assess actual against plan
  • Prepare and plan accurate monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual headcount and budget forecasts
  • Utilise workforce planning data to drive the resourcing strategies for contingent workers
  • Monitor market performance and adapt sourcing strategies accordingly
  • Monitor the approval process for new contractor requirements, extensions and rate changes
  • Liaise with third party consultancies to forecast resourcing requirements
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes
  • Create and analyse management headcount, recruitment, skills reports and dashboards to support decision making and drive improvements
  • Support the determination assessments for IR35
  • Support conversions to Fixed Term Contractors or Permanent where necessary
  • Collaborate with the Head of Talent Acquisition and the Senior Talent & Learning Consultant
  • Ensure the organisations diversity and inclusion ambition is supported by the resourcing strategy

Skills:

  • Experience of creating and defining a resourcing and workforce planning strategy
  • Subject matter expert in workforce planning and resourcing
  • Ability to utilise the workforce planning data
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good knowledge of IR35
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Experience using Workday
