Employee Relations Advisor
Location: North Manchester/ Remote
Salary:£25,000-£30,000

This role of Employee Relations Advisor offers the opportunity to join a market leading global retail business which has experienced huge success and growth and continues to dominate its market.

Offered on a permanent basis, the role of ER Advisor will work as part of a wider employee relations team and be focused on supporting the logistics side of the business where you will supervise at least one Adviser and be responsible for allocating work between you and ensuring that all client needs for your area are acted upon quickly,

Within a commercially focused fast moving business, you will provide an exceptional customer experience, defined by the company, which will be at the heart of the service whilst providing robust, thoughtful, practical, legally compliant and challenging options and advice to managers

Key responsibilities include;

*Steer stakeholders through the correct procedures and best practice, ensuring that all discussions and actions are legally compliant, commercially focused, pragmatic and balanced with the company values.
* Prepare and coach managers on managing poor performance, on-boarding reviews, conducting investigations and preparing documentation.
* Offer appropriate solutions and escalate complex or serious issues when required
* Relationship building with Business Partners with an understanding of providing relevant data to them on a monthly basis.
* Policy and Advice team to ensure cross collaboration and peer review of advice when needed
* Actively build internal and external networks to maintain up to date knowledge, have a great understanding of best practice and readily share ideas with the team
* Coaching and supporting of Advisors through training sessions and workshops

Experience & Skills Required;

*In depth understanding and application of UK employment legislation
* Excellent organisation skills with the ability to meet tight conflicting deadlines
* Strong communication skills, ability to influence at all levels in a business including at a senior management level
* Ability to challenge, build credibility and work with integrity to influence change within a very commercially focused fast-moving business
* Ability to deliver pragmatic solutions and a methodical approach to problem solving
* Ability to work on own initiative, as well as part of a team.
* Self-motivated, pro-active, and flexible
* Ideally level 7 CIPD qualified

This is a hybrid role with a requirement to be onsite in North Manchester 3 days per week.
