HR Systems Specialist, 12 months FTC, Remote, circa £30k + benefits, Manufacturing Sector

Your new company
Your new organisation specialises in manufacturing premium-quality wood products for construction, industrial and distribution customers.Your new company is looking for an enthusiastic, and competent HR Systems Specialist to be responsible for maintaining employee records.

Although this role is primarily remote, upon occasion, you will need to travel for business 1-2 times a month (Government guideline dependent) between Kings Lynn (Norfolk) and Boston (Lincolnshire).

Your new role
Within your new role, you will be updating databases internally, with data such as absences and leave, preparing and amending HR documents, and reviewing, and renewing company policies and legal compliance.

Additionally, you will be maintaining employee records across multiple systems, ensuring high levels of accuracy and efficiency.

You will work with the team to continuously improve HR processes to be efficient, and compliant with GDPR regulations. You will also support the team with ongoing implementation and integration of the HR systems (Workday and Crown).

You will work on specific HR projects, and manage the HR inbox, resolving, and escalating as appropriate.

Within the wider HR team, you will support the performance management cycle ensuring that all timelines are communicated, and met.

You will work closely with the HR manager to develop accurate management information to the senior leadership team, as well as support the processes throughout the employee life-cycle, including performance development, organisational change, recruitment, and conduct issues.

Additionally, you will manage contract changes, process starters and leavers, note take for complex ER cases, and manage less complex ER issues (escalating where appropriate), and provide HR support as the first point of contact for employees and managers.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to success, you will need experience working as a HR generalist / administrator, or advisor. You will have achieved your CIPD level 3, or be working towards it, and have intermediate MS excel knowledge.

You will have a strong process mindset, with the ability to anticipate, and plan for the interaction between different systems and processes. You will be able to handle queries effectively and efficiently, as well as have strong organisational skills.

You will be able to work collaboratively, but also independent within a manufacturing setting.

You will be proficient in MS applications, and HR info systems such as Workday.

You will also have good working knowledge of employment law, and the desire to keep up to date.

What you'll get in return
In return, you'll receive a salary of circa £30k, 33 days holiday including bank holidays, pension, study support, and access to a discount platform.

Should you wish to work fully remotely, a 6-month contract can be offered (with extension reviews accordingly).
