The Head of HR role will sit on the SLT for the UK and will pioneer their own approach to HR, leading a high performing people function.

The company are a recognisable brand with a focus on quality service and providing a point of difference in a competitive market. With city centre sits across the UK and Ireland, the 350 FTE headcount is spread and so the HR approach needs to have a strong focus on engagement and communication. Despite the sector having high turnover, this organisation prides itself on its long servers, however they are looking at ways to engage and progress talent throughout all areas of the business. With a Head office in Leeds they have a flexible approach to work on the basis that everyone adds value. The Head of HR has a team, sits on the SLT and has a responsibility to engage the wider business so some travel out into the operation, office base and occasional home working will mean the role is very varied.

Description

The Head of HR will:

  • Lead the people function and team as a roll model
  • Work with the MD and SLT to design and deliver strategic direction of the business
  • Be innovative and proactive when it comes to engagement and internal communication
  • Be a collaborative facilitator of change and growth
  • Manage M&A activity and be responsible for driving the organisations vision and values throughout the TUBE and harmonisation process
  • Demonstrate creativity when it comes to talent acquisition and development
  • Manage all complex Employee relations and change activity
  • Be data driven and make recommendations based on strong commercial evidence

Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Have extensive strategic and operational HR experience
  • Have some people management experience and be used to working with senior stakeholders
  • Tupe and M&A experience would be advantageous but not essential
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent
  • Experience in a commercial environment with demonstrable contribution towards driving effective people interventions that not only create a fantastic working environment but also contribute towards the organisations commercial objectives

Job Offer

The package is very competitive with strong car allowance and benefits making it circa £85-90K total compensation.
