Your new company

A national not-for-profit organisation supporting people with autism, mental health challenges, learning disabilities and complex needs is looking for an experienced HR Advisor (Case Manager) to join their Human Resources team on a 6 months contract basis initially (the role will potentially go perm). The role is home based, but candidate will need to be able occasionally travel to Hertfordshire, to Forest of Dean, West Mids and Hertfordshire, Forest of Dean, West Mids Communities.

Your new role

It is a new role to provide a responsive HR advice and support service to managers and staff. You will be contributing to the delivery of an effective and respected HR Service that enables achievement of organisation's strategic objectives and annual business plans.You will be undertaking HR activity across the employee life cycle ensuring that policies and procedures are up to date, legally compliant and promote a fair and transparent people management approach.You will also be managing complex ER cases effectively in a timely way ensuring fair, robust and appropriate outcomes that manage the risks.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in a HR generalist role with responsibility for providing HR advice and support across the employee life cycle in a fast-pace organisation
  • Experience of managing complex ER cases through from allegations to disciplinary hearing outcomes and appeals
  • Previous experience of social care (adults with learning disabilities) not for profit sector, or similar would be desirable
  • Familiarity of employment law including equality law and Tupe and confidence in applying in practice and maintaining up to date policy and procedures
