We have an outstanding opportunity for an HR People Advisor to join a busy HR & People Department in Poole.


Were seeking an experienced HR Advisor with a background of Employer Relations case work to join a great national organisation.

As an HR Advisor you will be supporting managers with a range of HR & People management issues including employer relations case work. Key Duties

  • Provide quality employee relations advice and guidance to management and staff on policies, procedures and legislation
  • To work in partnership with the Business Partners to understand business areas and tailor support accordingly
  • Provide HR advisory input into projects, change management programmes and working groups as required
  • Ensure the HR systems are fully utilised, up to date and maintained accurately for all case work
  • To develop and maintain collaborative and productive relationships with all people, establishing professional credibility
  • To participate in the preparation, development and updating of new employment related policies
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices
  • Develop meaningful management information in order to analyse trends and suggest proactive methods to manage and improve issues
  • To coach managers in the resolution of issues


Candidates
Were seeking experienced HR Advisors with a solid HR background working with larger complex organisations in a service model or similar.

Qualifications required
Essential - Educated to degree level, or equivalent, and CIPD qualified.

Experience required

  • Experience of providing diverse advice to managers on HR policy and people management issues.
  • Good knowledge and practical application of employment legislation
  • Previous experience of updating policies in line with employment legislation updates


Suitable for someone who Is committed to providing excellent customer service.

  • Can research, analyse and reason logically and effectively within tight and conflicting timeframes.
  • Has the ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with people at all levels.
  • Has a proactive approach.
  • Can handle sensitive or confidential information thoughtfully and has a good level of resilience.


The role is offered as an initial 12 months fixed contract and is currently homebased but will transition to a hybrid approach (home and office based). Car hire provision will be available for any travel required and a laptop and mobile phone will also be provided.

Salary expectations for this role are between £33,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience) and Level 5 CIPD minimum and casework experience are crucial.
