A brand new role within a Professional Services business in Leeds

Responsible for Talent Pathways/Apprenticeships for IT/Finance/HR

Client Details

A well established, growing Professional Services business in Leeds in the process of putting in place a new Talent & Learning & Development function.

Description

An exciting time to join the business as part the new Talent & Learning & Development function in a newly created role supporting IT, Finance and HR talent programs.

Reporting into the Head of Talent & Learning & Development

  • Establish and run work experience schemes
  • Establish and run apprenticeship schemes
  • Establish Talent pathways in support areas
  • Support maintenance of the Sponsorship programs
  • Produce monthly management information f
  • Manage and plan events such as National Apprenticeship Week, open evenings, University visits, etc.
  • Build upon our current progression process to ensure that it is consistent across all functions and clearly demonstrates lateral career pathways
  • Ensure that Succession Plans are in place for all functions and that any retention risk areas are proactively managed and mitigated
  • Create and implement tools and support resources around talent management, performance management, professional and career development
  • Provide guidance and act as an 'expert' across talent management and development at all levels
  • Assist employees with personal learning and career development as well as develop and lead training activities
  • Partner with the businesses hiring managers to work as one team
  • Headhunting and delivery of talent end to end
  • Maintain accurate data to use to influence stakeholders.
  • Proactively design solutions or bring new ideas to overcome challenges

Profile

  • Have previously worked in Early Careers/Apprenticeship capacity in either a Recruitment/L&D or HR role
  • Have previously worked in a white collar business
  • Ability to work independently and self sufficiently
  • Strategic thinker and proactive
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Practical, structured, organised and adaptive approach to the job
  • Good external network/networking skills
  • Previously implemented italent programmes that have impact
  • Knowledge of current Talent & Development methods
  • Strong business acumen
  • Highly developed presentation and facilitation skills with ability to operate at all levels of the organisation
