Culture and Engagement Lead - Financial Services - Permanent - £65,000 - £70,000

This organisation is UK banking group, providing lending, deposit taking, wealth management and securities trading.

Your new role

Reporting to the Culture and Engagement Manager, the role of lead will be primarily responsible for enhancing and maintaining a good internal culture and staff engagement amongst their client group within Tax and Savings.

You will be responsible of implementing and developing a variety of people initiatives and programmes in support, around key topics such as future ways of working, employee development and engagement.

  • Working with an array of Stakeholders you will effectively manage and promote concurrent activities, with a clear focus on enhancing the staff experience and professional development opportunities
  • Co-ordinate the delivery of key engagement initiatives, for example, local employee recognition schemes and events, functional announcements, and quarterly updates
  • Support the Senior Leadership Team in planning and executing internal and external events
  • Support the group's diversity and inclusion working group Support the design, development, and delivery of an ongoing staff development plan
  • Deliver content for an online learning library including relevant training materials Work closely with Line Managers and individuals across teams to research and promote relevant apprenticeships and professional qualifications
  • Support line managers in consistency and effectiveness of Personal Development Plans Communication of engagement campaigns such as Employee Opinion Surveys and local focused initiative
  • Monitor and report on internal communications activity, employee engagement and feedback creating MI and supporting trend analysis alongside HR and local management
  • Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required


What you'll need to succeed

  • Recent experience of working as an employee engagement specialist within a financial services organisation Enthusiastic and passionate about high employee engagement
  • High Business acumen, with a solid understanding of the commercial benefits of having a motivated and happy workforce
  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and forward plan
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships and credibility with a wide range of stakeholders
