An exciting opportunity is available at a world leading bank based in Canary Wharf. They are now looking to hire a Candidate Acquisition Lead who will be responsible for all graduate, intern and apprentice hires into the Investment Banking part of the company. The CAL will also manage a team of four and be responsible for oversight of the team, their development and training and ultimately be accountable for their delivery of quality candidates into the bank.

This is a high level role requiring the successful candidate to be able to put together a strategy for around 300 hires annually and link this with overall business strategy. The incoming person will be working very closely with business heads and it is therefore critical that this person has excellent stakeholder management skills.

We are looking for experienced Grad Recruiters that have ideally managed before and that have come from a Financial Services background or a global matrix business.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Banking UK and Europe Acquisition activity for all Programmatic channels, including but not limited to Interns and Graduates
  • Take ownership and accountability for fulfilling requested business demand for Programmatic Hiring needs
  • Partner closely with various Programmatic Talent Acquisition Teams to deliver against shared goals, including but not limited to Propositions, Programme Planning, and Programme Delivery
  • Partner closely with Programmatic Assessment & Selection teams, to develop and implement attraction and assessment efforts that are in line with both firm goals and individual business goals
  • Continually search for ways to do things better, and identify opportunity for continual improvement
  • Support and encourage diversity initiatives to help support Diversity and Inclusion efforts
  • Continued efforts to evaluate ROI on events and use information to inform future decisions / recommendations
  • Line Management ensuring you coach, train and support your team to deliver to the highest standard and achieve their potential
  • Act as a key partner to Banking business stakeholders on all Acquisition related activity; including candidate attraction strategy and events plan and recruitment planning and progress (including recruitment selection events)
  • Educate stakeholders and regularly communicate to gain buy-in and support for events and recruitment activity, gaining their continued engagement and commitment to our efforts
  • Provide regular updates to key business stakeholder and Talent Acquisition colleagues as required
  • Responsible for managing a team to deliver against all agreed activity; providing an excellent service to our business stakeholders, candidates and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Strong stakeholder management skills; able to interact across all levels, with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Creative thinker with an ability to continuously evaluate and improve candidate outreach and assessment processes
  • Ability to consolidate and synthesize information across business lines to effectively and consistently communicate the regional acquisition efforts
  • Strategically able to shape a compelling narrative and plan for recruiting candidates
  • Effective people management skills, and able to coach and drive a team
  • Ability to advise the team while also executing on aligned portfolio of work
  • Problem solving skills and solution focussed
  • Willingness and desire to travel
  • Strong understanding of current internal and external recruitment landscape
  • Strong reputational, governance and risk mind-set
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask with agility
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills
  • Excellent Excel skills, coupled with the ability to review and analyse data to produce information and insights led.
