As a Senior HR Advisor to business areas with a combined employee population of 400-500 you'll help the business, and the teams you support, achieve their goals through the delivery of expert HR advice, support, problem solving and initiatives

Client Details

Operate in over 30 countries and maintain relationships and partnerships with more than 1,000 school districts, colleges and universities, professional bodies and over 10,000 businesses.

Description

● Provide advice and support to managers in dealing with absence management, probation, performance, conduct, capability, redundancy, grievance and other HR and employee relations issues Page 1

● Maintain in-depth knowledge of the legal framework within which HR operates, evolving case law and people management best practice

● Contribute to the development, enhancement and ongoing maintenance of HR policies and procedures

● Ensure our HR practices comply with Safeguarding procedures

● Create and deliver essential HR processes training to our managers and identify other opportunities to improve awareness and understanding of HR policies and procedures, delivering solutions such as f2f training, webinars, and written guidance Performance & Development

● Ensure the timely completion of UK's key performance and development processes, and provide guidance and feedback to managers regarding quality

● Encourage/support managers in identifying, developing and progressing high potential employees and in effectively addressing under performance

● Support with our learning and development initiatives, in particular Gift of Knowledge and manager and leadership development. Driving Employee Engagement

● Support activities relating to embedding our purpose, values and brand framework and how teams contribute to the achievement of our vision and goals including: recruitment, induction, recognition schemes, management and leadership development

● Build a strong connection to our company goals by supporting managers in the development of Team Goals, KPI, individual objectives and performance management

● Support the annual Employee Engagement Survey, guiding managers with local cascades and action planning Make this is a Great Place to work where everybody can succeed

● Support the development, enhancement and ongoing maintenance of HR practices & initiatives

● Contribute to the delivery of our employee equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) strategy Support your HR team colleagues

● Support development and growth of HR colleagues

● Actively contribute ideas and suggestions to aid ongoing development and continuous improvement of the HR function

Profile

● Significant experience of providing HR support on complex casework

● Sound judgement underpinned by detailed knowledge and practical experience of employment law and best practice

● Strong listening and communication (verbal/written) skills

● Establish and maintain strong relationships, and work effectively at all levels of the organisation

● Take on new information and quickly establish credibility

● Manage multiple responsibilities and competing priorities effectively

● Self-sufficient and proactive in identifying opportunities to drive us forward
