We have a great opportunity for an experienced HR Adviser to work within the education sector. This is a permanent role. The role is with a well regarded education servies business. In this role you will ensure HR advisory support is delivered to their schools and academies. There is potential progression in this role to become a lead HR Adviser.

The role responsibilities will include:

  • Build relationships and provide HR support and guidance to CEO's, Head Teachers, COO's, School/Academy Business Managers, Senior Managers, Directors/Governors in relation to a wide range of HR Issues.
  • Delivering quality high level support, advice and guidance to clients on all aspects of HR casework; including sickness, absence management, disciple, grievance and other employee relations issues in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Providing advice to schools/academies in respect of national conditions of service, local agreements and employment law incuding TUPE legislation.
  • Supporting schools to ensure they have appropriate and effective HR systems in place in accordance with agreed policies.
  • Preparing reports for Senior Leaders/Mangers, Governors and Directors on a range of needs including sickness, data managment, academy conversion and casework.
  • Work collaboratively with the Finance, H&S and Governane arms of the team, to offer schools a seamless service.

The person:

  • CIPD Level 7 or equivalent would be an advantage
  • An Understanding of terms and conditions of employment within schools and academies.
  • Understanding of Education Legislation
  • Extensive knowledge of key ER processes such as disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, performance management
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Competency in establishing good working relationships with a range of customers e.g headteachers, governors and senior managers to gain credibility.
