Page Personnel have partnered with the UK's second largest supermarket chain. Our client are looking for a HR People Assistant to join them on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will have previous experience within a fast pace administration, or HR function and will hold a CIPD Level 3 as a minimum.
Client Details
Our client are a well known, and highly recognised supermarket chain, and have been around since 1869. They are now looking for a HR People Assistant to join them at one of their West Yorkshire based sites, to as assist the HR team in providing a high quality professional HR service.
Description
The successful HR People Assistant will be responsible for:
- Ensuring all policies and procedures are followed in line with the site agreement and legislation
- Supporting with absence management, including administration and policing of the absence procedure in line with policies and procedure and providing guidance to managers
- Providing support to managers, in particular, note taking during disciplinary, grievance cases including welfare issues and flexible working requests
- Ensure all adhoc administration for the business area is carried out in a timely, effective and accurate manner and maintaining administration records on the online HR system (Oracle)
- Assisting and advising managers on all aspects of the recruitment process
- Ensuring that occupational health records are kept up to date
- Ensuring personnel files are kept up to date and accurate to meet legal compliance requirements
Profile
The successful HR People Assistant will have
- Previous experience within a fast pace administration / HR function
- CIPD Level 3 as a minimum
- Ability to listen and understand keep all information private and confidential
- Have a confidential and professional approach
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
- Excellent IT/computer skills
- Ability to organise, plan and prioritise workload, including people and time
- A good team worker
- Can work to strict deadlines and under time pressures
