Oakleaf is proud to be partnering with a global business in their search for a Learning and Development Manager. The successful candidate will be accountable for the design of the employee learning and development life cycle. They will keep the learning academy current, compliant, competitive and interactive, and will ensure leaders are being built for the future through the leadership academy. The role will report directly into the HR Director and will have one direct report at this stage.
The company is very tech focused so the ability to understand this audience would be an advantage. The company is part of a much larger group with global remit. The head office is in West London, however, there is a flexible working from home arrangement with only the occasional need to be in the office.
The successful candidate will:
* Ensure compliance of mandatory training
* Develop, execute and manage the Learning academy which provides learning and development opportunities for all
* Perform continuous training needs analysis to ensure skills are kept up to date and at the forefront for new technology
* Provide insight and supports the Career Pathway initiative to ensure we are concurrent and future focused in our skills and capabilities of future leaders
* Manage the relationships with training providers
* Manage the relationships and responsibilities of Professional bodies / Guilds (e.g., OFSTED for apprentices)
* Be accountable for the design of the onboarding experience for new colleagues, with a strong focus on the priorities for technical and leadership training that doesn't compromise on the colleague experience
* Develop, execute and manage the Leadership Academy to develop leaders of the future
* Be accountable for creating development in line with our diversity and inclusion strategy
* Design and develop L&D opportunities for current and future employees from a variety of minority and socio-economic backgrounds, e.g., Neuro-diversity
* Encourage STEM learning opportunities, in keeping with our STEM resourcing initiatives
* Manage coaching and mentoring programmes and actively manage the consistency/ commitment and success of coaches and mentors
* Monitor the success of programmes, and review feedback of candidates for continuous improvement and adjusts programmes accordingly where improvements need to be made
