Working as part of a large HR team, the HR Advisor will be responsible for a portfolio of casework and will deliver advice to line managers, supporting them through complex people matters. The HR Advisor will also work collaboratively with the wider HR team to deliver a variety of HR projects.

Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of ER casework, scheduling and prioritising activities based on the needs of each case
  • Provide expert advice in line with company policy, legislation and best practice
  • Offer a business-focused resolution to complex HR cases
  • Work with the senior management team to ensure cases are managed effectively
  • Provide advice to line managers on absence management and related issues
  • Deliver coaching and training to line managers on people management and HR-related topics
  • Keep up-to-date with developing issues within the organisation
  • Provide current and relevant advice on employment legislation
  • Assist in the development and review of HR policies and procedures
  • Implement policies on working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management
  • Provide support to line managers on performance management issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records regarding ER matters
  • Support line managers with transfers of employment under TUPE regulations
  • Complete ad hoc administrative duties as required, including the preparation of letters to employees relating to TUPE transfers

Profile

  • Previous experience in a HR Advisor role
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent qualification
  • Experience of working in a busy, fast-paced organisation
  • ER knowledge and hands-on experience of dealing with ER issues
  • Ability to communicate with senior management and leadership teams
  • Excellent knowledge of employment law
  • Experience of complex TUPE transfers
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to write detailed reports
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent organisational skills

Job Offer

  • Salary of £30,000 - £33,000 per annum
  • Hybrid working model (3 days office-based, 2 days home-based)
