This is long standing and reputable organisation in the sustainability/recycling sector. Multi-site around the South and West Yorkshire area - with the head office (and place of work) on the South/West Yorkshire border

Your new role:
This is an exciting a truly progressional BRAND NEW role to provide a 1st class and effective HR provision to the UK business. Reporting into the Head of HR and in a team consisting of a HR/L&D Assistant, your duties will be varied and interesting. This role will be working in a generalist capacity and also assisting the roll out of various projects and initiatives.

Your duties will involve:

Absence management and reporting HR Advisory and ER issues (including attending and supporting
Manager with grievance / disciplinary processes and hearings and follow up documentation).
Liaising with the external HR Consultancy for ER matters and process Project work - e.g. a new HR system has been implemented and you will be able to find ways to collate and report the data in order to make informed business decisions regards to the "people and culture"
Recruitment management - from reviewing, assessing and writing job descriptions and adverts, managing stake holders/Line Managers in making speedy and informed recruitment decisions. Agency recruitment management - looking at developing a PSL and consistency in the use of recruitment agencies for blue collar staff.
Onboarding and Offboarding activities In time you will develop into the trusted "HR Advisor" to the business, assisting the department to become a "proactive" HR service.

The role will be "SITE BASED" - at the main UK site/Head Office and other sites (internal and customer based) - all within 30 minutes of the Head Office (travel to these sites is required occasionally but infrequent). This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Administrator/Assistant to progress your career and skills into the HR advisory and generalist areas - being coached and mentored by a supportive HR Leader. For the right person they can offer the Level 3 or 5 CIPD study through the Apprenticeship Levy (but this will be a permanent fulltime role.)

What you'll need to succeed:
The successful applicant will ideally have previous HR administrative and some knowledge and/or experience in HR generalist duties within a mixed blue/white collar environment. Be CIPD Level 3 qualified or wanting to study - OR to study the Level 5 (potential to offer support/Apprenticeship Level with the study of the CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualification.

What you'll get in return:
You will be offered a salary dependant on your current experience and qualification level. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm with 1 hour lunch break.
