The Senior HRBP will provide senior level operational HR input and delivery of HR strategy and lead a team of HRBPs, whilst also providing quality business partnering themselves to their own respective business senior leadership team. This role is home based with travel in the North of England 2-3 days a week.

Description

The interim Senior HRBP will have a broad range of responsibilities including:

  • Provide operational HR input and delivery of HR strategy
  • Ensure operational HR input and delivery for particular areas of HR: ER, D&I, Resourcing, H&W, Recognition, Reward, L & D, P & P, Succession, MI
  • Manage and lead a team of HRBPs to provide quality Business Partnering to their respective SLTs
  • Ensure the HRBPs deliver quality output and operational consistency
  • Act as a member of the HR Leadership to help shape the overall HR strategy of the Group
  • Act as HR Operations and Employee Relations SME
  • Manage the implementation of Group HR plans within their own Region
  • Handle operational matters escalated from all Regions within their scope
  • Development and delivery of regional people plans e.g. Inclusion & Diversity action plan, employee engagement plan etc.
  • Support and drive central and local recruitment initiatives to provide pipeline of talent for the region to reduce time to hire and costs
  • Manage the people and succession planning and performance management processes for their regions, ensuring performance, development and succession needs/action are planned and implemented to meet people requirements
  • Monitor and review the HR KPIs within the region analysing data each period and driving discussions with the SLT
  • Minimise the risk of exposure relating to Gender Pay, Living Wage and employee relations matters
  • Responsible for providing guidance to Regional HR Advisors and Coordinators, and ensure they have clarity about their role and responsibilities
  • Deliver specific training within the Region, such as Recruitment; Performance Management etc.

Profile

The interim Senior HRBP needs to be/have:

  • Extensive proven senior HR Manager or HRBP experience in a multisite operational role, ideally in building and construction sector or similar
  • CIPD qualfied or equivalent and educated to graduate level
  • Strong relationship management at middle/senior management level, with influencing abilities
  • Good communication skills - written and presentation
  • Resilient and able to handle conflict situations
  • Conversant with all MS packages and HR systems
  • Available to start a new role by the beginning or middle of March 2022

  • Home based role with travel in northern region, base around Leeds or in North/West Yorkshire ideal
  • 6-9 month fixed term contract starting in March 2022
