Oakleaf are working with a large housing association going through a merger. This role will be Reporting into the Head of HR Business Partnering, you will have management responsibility for a HR Business Partner and Adviser and will contribute directly to the achievement of the associations strategic priorities through building trusted professional relationships with senior leaders through to executive level. The role will provide a value-added strategic and operational partnering service, whilst also working on key projects, innovations and new ideas to drive the organisation forward.

About the role:

As Senior HR Business Partner you will work closely with the wider People and Culture Directorate and in partnership with key stakeholders to enable business leaders to build their people capability and deliver on performance, talent, succession and development programmes aligned to local business objectives and strategic priorities. You will drive and enable colleague engagement and excellent customer experience across the business whilst promoting our values. In addition you will play a key role in researching, developing and implementing new people initiatives and delivering key organisational transformation projects.

Success Metrics:

  • Lead and mentor your team to provide a business partnering that enables managers to manage on all aspects of HR work including but not limited to absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance, providing support as necessary whilst determining and mitigating business risk
  • Partner with key leaders in our Executive and Directors Group driving the development and delivery of commercial people plans and activities that enable the achievement of high performance aligned to business goals. To include talent, succession and resource planning, engagement and capability improvements
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance and capability across the organisation, with a particular focus on developing manager competence and behaviour in line with the leadership and management framework, our policies and the law, providing coaching and guidance to senior leaders and their direct reports
  • Using your expertise you will make a key impact in areas such as organisational design, employee engagement, change management and talent analytics
  • Research areas of change and best practice and suggest innovations, changes and improvements

About you:

  • A credible, ambitious and seasoned senior HR leader with extensive experience of partnering with directors and senior leaders in a busy commercial environment.
  • CIPD qualification essential - ideally educated to masters degree level
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the principls of equality, diversity and inclusion.
