I'm working with a Global Manufacturing Organisation who are a leader in their field. They are looking for an experienced HR Manager to be the lead for their site in Port Talbot. You will be supporting the Senior leadership team on-site and be the first point of contact for employees & managers in all areas of HR.

Global Manufacturing Organisation - based at their site in Port Talbot.


  • As the HR Manager you will support the HR Director in providing a proactive and commercially focused HR support for the business across the UK sites
  • To provide advice and support on more complex aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, employee relations, on-boarding, absence management, compensation and benefits, learning & development, performance management, administration, compensation, payroll and communication
  • To support key business partners and deliver the UK HR Strategy
  • Identify core business issues and raise awareness of any possible liability to the business and serve as the liaison between employees, local management and HR colleagues
  • Provide HR support and advice to Managers and Supervisors, in tactical and policy related situations
  • Prepare, monitor, analyse trends and report on HR Metrics
  • Actively involved in supporting the talent management process
  • Working with the HR Director to ensure People Development is a key business driver
  • Support and advise the management team on key change management initiatives
  • Demonstrate commercial thinking and an understanding of the business and HR practices to provide pragmatic and informed solutions and ideas that meet both the business needs and fit with the HR agenda
  • Coach, develop and motivate the HR Advisor on site
  • Continually develop commercial and professional knowledge
  • Participate in special projects as required


As the HR Manager you will have a broad generalist HR background ideally gained within a Manufacturing/Engineering organisation (although this isn't essential)

Be CIPD Level 7 Qualified

Experience of advising and leading on complex employee relations matters

Experience of operating within a global matrixed organisation with key stakeholders across all levels and geographical locations

Job Offer

£45k - £50k + 10% bonus

Candidates will need to be on site Monday - Friday with occasional days working from home.
