Healthcare Trust seeking Associate HR Business Partner for a 6 month FTC

Your new company
You will be working for a well known trust across 2 locations, your base will be in Southall and you will spend 2 days a week in Crowthorne. This role also allows you to work from home 1 day a week. You will join a team of experienced partners initially on a 6 month contract, there is a possibility that this role will go permanent.

Your new role
The main purpose of this role is to support in providing excellence in people management and positive employee relations between managers, staff and trade unions through the provision of interpreting employment legislation/case law, providing effective, specialist and strategic workforce/employee relations advice, guidance, and support the Trust in meeting its strategic objectives and targets. Main duties include: To be an effective practitioner working with and supporting managers in dealing with a wide range of employee relations issues. To ensure Trust policies on staff management are correctly and consistently applied and used by managers to improve the quality of employee relations throughout the organisation. To participate in hearings as required appropriate to the level of experience and knowledge. To conduct job evaluations of new posts and existing posts including liaising with the HR manager and professional advisors when necessary. To support managers with any change management process, providing appropriate guidance and advice. To collate and provide information to managers and the department in a timely and accurate manner, e.g. sickness data, sickness as required. Provide advice and guidance in relation to DBS checks, Professional Registration and Right to Work checks. To support the HR Assistant in carrying out DBS, Professional registration and Right to Work checks. Provide professional HR advice and support to senior managers/managers across the trust, investigating and advising on a range of workforce and employee relation issues. Supporting the Workforce Partners with Sickness management, Performance management, Flexible working requests, Bullying and Harassment, Disciplinary and retire and return. Review investigation/ sickness reports to ensure that all relevant information has been captured to support the relevant manager in making a decision which is fair transparent and consistent.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role you will need to have strong proven generalist experience, demonstrating competence across employee relations, including TUPE transfers, change management, performance management, equality and diversity and training. Be confident in reviewing and updating HR policies in line with legislative changes and needs of the service. Have experience working with unions. Be able to effectively communicate to staff in relation to change management programmes where there may be significant barriers to acceptance. You will be a member of CIPD. Have experience in working within a complex organisation. Ability to travel across both sites.
