My client are a rapidly growing, start-up Exec Search firm specialising in the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences sector. Due to their success and growth, they are now looking for a Head of People to join them and drive their people agenda forwards. This person will own the strategy and tactical operations of Talent Acquisition, Talent Development and HR, whilst growing a team to meet the demands of the business.

Key responsibilities/duties:

  • Build a long-term talent development strategy for the company to meet the needs of graduates, management, and leaders
  • Play a lead role in coaching and identifying external partners for the future
  • Support the researcher and consultant populations to execute best practise in their roles by providing 1-on-1 mentoring
  • Lead the annual graduate programme and experienced talent strategy for the company. This will include designing process, managing budgets and supplier engagement
  • Work with the Board to identify and plan future expansion
  • Lead the company wellbeing approach to ensure a modern, supportive programme compliments the culture of the business
  • Design and communicate all company-wide HR initiatives and processes
  • Be an approachable leader to support and guide employees

Key experience/skills:

  • Previous experience at Head of level
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Experience of people management and building a team
  • Ideally a background in Professional Services of Consulting
  • Proven experience in a blended HR and TA role
  • Ability to work in office 3 days a week - the office is based in the City
