Oakleaf is proud to be partnering with a global company in their search for a temporary HR Manager. This role could last for up to one year and is based in London with 3 days a week in the office and 2 from home.

The role is a broad ranging generalist one, however, it will have a strong slant towards the numerical and technical side (reward and benefits) and will be part of a small HR team covering all HR requirements for the Company. This role will provide hands-on HR support for employees and managers in the company Head Office in London (approx. 45 employees) and will also support the operations (currently in Mozambique, Zambia and India) at Group level.

The role responsibilities will include:

Compensation and Benefits

  • Responsibility for the UK and international company benefits (for expatriates only), including the annual renewal process, review of current benefit offerings and implementation of new benefits as required.
  • Liaising with company brokers to facilitate any required changes.
  • Management of the annual salary benchmarking process for the UK and expatriate population.
  • Working closely with international teams (currently in Mozambique, Zambia and India) to ensure that our global benefit offerings are fit for purpose and well utilised by the team.

Recruitment

  • Leading and overseeing (with the assistant of the HR Team Assistant) the full recruitment process for all UK roles up to HOD level and inputting into international recruitment processes where required.
  • Overseeing the HR Assistant to ensure that all onboarding requirements are completed in a meaningful way, including background screening and employee inductions.
  • Managing recruitment agencies on the companies preferred supplier list and exploring alternatives to ensure the best candidates are sourced for each role.

Employee Relations

  • Advising Heads of Department and line managers on people matters and key HR processes including absence management, disciplinaries, grievances, maternity, paternity, conflict management and other ER issues.
  • Liaising with lawyers and other professional advisors on people related matters.

HR Polices and Processes

  • Creating and championing Group HR processes to ensure consistency across all entities during key cyclical processes including the annual performance review process and annual compensation review.
  • Developing new processes to ensure that the HR team is operating as efficiently as possible and all HR queries are being responded to in an accurate and timely manner.

Training and Development

  • Overall responsibility for design and delivery of Group HR training on objective setting and performance reviews.
  • Responsibility for ensuring 100% compliance across the Group for mandatory training requirements including Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption and Anti-Money Laundering training.
  • Working with the Group HR Director to identify and run training programmes for UK and global employees as dictated by business requirements.
