Coverage Lead - Workforce/Recruitment Planning

Glasgow

upto £80k per annum

Our Client is looking for a Coverage Lead to work on a hybrid model from their state of the art Glasgow Campus.

Reporting to the Coverage Lead for a business unit/entity the role holder will be the primary relationship management lead for their respective client group, responsible for ensuring business leaders have a joined up view of all hiring activity and receive relevant and timely progress reporting and insight. A key requirement of the role will be to collaborate through others including the TA sub-services and other HR transaction cycles to effectively ensure delivery of a great candidate, hiring manager and stakeholder experience.

This role will oversee delivery of a coherent Talent Acquisition Strategy for a defined business area, working in conjunction with the Talent Acquisition sub-services to ensure Talent Acquisition services are being delivered against the strategy.

This is a highly visible role and the role holder will need to be able to share and display an understanding of commercial value and an in depth knowledge of the business areas they are partnering with.

Key Accountabilities

Managing Relationships

  • Ensure business stakeholders receive timely and insightful MI inclusive of key operational data (progress against hiring planned key performance metrics, process issues to be addressed etc.)
  • Act as a single point of escalation for named client groups (mirroring the HR Business Partner model) and HRDs
  • Through proactive engagement build and maintain relationships with all relevant stakeholders, to ensure appropriate awareness and understanding of the broader TA and HR functional agenda.

Hiring Strategy

  • Through development of close working relationships, the role holder will build an in-depth understanding of current and future hiring requirements of the business.
  • Through expert knowledge and the use of data insights of both the internal and external market the role holder will partner with the relevant sub-service to design, develop and oversee appropriate delivery of a TA strategy. Delivery of the service will be via the respective sub-services.

Talent Acquisition Expertise

  • Data-led - leverage available data sources to ensure optimal delivery of the TA service and relevant insight to influence future Talent Acquisition and business strategies
  • Shape/lead key projects which facilitate delivery of the People and Talent Acquisition strategy
  • Influence, shape and promote "best practice", champion diversity & inclusion and develop strategy and tactics to establish Barclays as an "employer of choice"
  • Ensure policy, standards and governance is a fundamental part of the strategy and execution plan

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

The successful candidate will have strong communication and influencing skills including the ability to work through others in a matrixed environment. The role will involve frequent interaction with leaders, as well as being able to forge strong relationships with other business areas supporting hiring in the IB.

Decision-making and Problem Solving

The role holder will have well-developed diagnostic skills and the ability to leverage data to identify and solve problems and remove bottlenecks

Risk and Control Objective

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

Person Specification

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • TA subject matter expertise with a breadth of experience in a variety of hiring channels
  • Proven data mindset - ability to leverage MI effectively and provide actionable insight
  • Execution mindset - ability to work at pace with a focus on "right first time" execution
  • Well-developed diagnostic skills and problem solving techniques
  • Strong reputational, governance and risk mind-set

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Skilled in the planning and executing hiring initiatives
  • Continuous learning and curiosity
  • The ability to take knowledge and ideas and move them into action
  • Commercial acumen and ability to make decisions

This role comes with a fantastic starting salary of £70,000 - £80,000 per annum plus a discretional annual bonus.
