Leading public sector organisation based in Manchester currently seeking a Senior Recruitment Consultant to join their collaborative team, on a permanent basis. Your New Role

Within your new role, you will report to the Talent & Recruitment Lead, sitting within the Recruitment Centre of Excellence within the HR Operations team. You will help the organisation drive the complete revolution of their current recruitment practices, turning the processes into the proactive, cost efficient and simple service they desire. It is essential you have previous experience working in a fast-paced environment and relish managing high volume, challenging recruitment. As a Senior Recruiter you will be responsible for the 360-recruitment process of your portfolio and will be accountable for leading the sourcing of passive candidates in a proactive way by utilising Boolean searches as well as creating engaging content for job ad copy and managing your diary appropriately to engage with candidates throughout their lifecycle. You will have the opportunity to make a difference to the way that the organisation work, enabling the organisation to streamline and improve their recruitment function whilst also lending support to the junior recruiters within the team, expanding your skills further!

Main Responsibilities;

  • Provide a 360-degree recruitment service to hiring managers across the organisation and ensure that the required ways of working are effectively implemented and embedded within the wider HR team.
  • Provide guidance and specialist advice around the delivery of recruitment campaigns, coaching, teaching and influencing hiring managers around the recruitment process.
  • Provide specialist advice to hiring managers on attraction strategies to ensure quality outcomes and an inclusive and diverse pool of applicants, at the lowest cost possible
  • Utilise recruitment tools to source passive candidates and engage with the market to identify future tools that may require investment. Proactive sourcing.
  • Build strong working relationships with your hiring managers and develop engaging recruitment campaigns and communicate cross-functionally with Recruitment/HR and Marketing to develop microsites for your portfolio area
  • Opportunity to delivery HR recruitment workshops to enhance the knowledge and skills of HR colleagues and hiring managers across the organisation.


What You'll Need

  • Experience of working in a high volume, complex recruitment environment
  • Experience of utilising recruitment tools, expert in Boolean searches and managing CRM campaigns to engage with candidates;
  • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship building skills at all levels
  • Strong customer focus - developing processes to meet customer needs and delivering a prompt, efficient service Experience of recruitment campaigns and advising hiring managers at all levels on recruitment strategy while delivering high quality customer service in a complex organisation
  • Ability to support, mentor and coach team members and various stakeholders to ensure continued best practice and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of ATS and other HR systems;
  • Knowledge of recruitment, resourcing and selection best practice;
