A leading Global Financial Services Firm based in East London seeks an Interim HRBP to provide generalist HR support to broad and complex client groups across Company and Infrastructure Divisions. The role will encompass a broad range of generalist activities including employee relations, recruitment, reward and compensation, talent management and diversity & inclusion.

Description

An Interim HRBP to:

Business Partner:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across several groups, demonstrating the appropriate flexibility of style to work with different clients.
  • Assume responsibility and ownership of client group - clients are based primarily in EMEA, but there will also be a need to work with global stakeholders in the functional management line.
  • Work collaboratively with internal HR colleagues and other members of the team to ensure seamless client coverage.
  • Partner closely with regional counterparts to ensure effective delivery of global processes.
  • Work closely with the BU to manage headcount data and people metrics and help the BU lead.

Employee Relations

  • Work with the business to interpret and apply the organisation's policies and procedures.
  • Advise and coach managers across a wide range of employee relations issues taking into account best practice, legislative framework and commercial outcome.
  • Influence managers and work with them to deal effectively and appropriately with the management of a range of performance, conduct and compliance issues.
  • Work with managers on redundancy processes and advise on disciplinary and grievance procedures, liaising with in-house legal advisors and the Employee Relations team where necessary.
  • Work with managers to monitor and manage Short and Long-Term Disability cases, undertaking regular feedback meetings with the Firm's Occupational Health Doctor, liaising with the Benefits team and making referrals to the Occupational Health team or permanent health insurance providers, as appropriate.

Recruitment

  • Proactively partner with the BU and recruitment team on recruitment related activities at all levels including determining appropriate compensation proposals, hire level and giving advice in relation to background screening issues.
  • Influence managers as appropriate to ensure we are hiring the right calibre of candidates.
  • Work in partnership with International Services and the HR Employee Solutions team to identify appropriate transfer packages and manage the relocation of employees.
  • Advise managers and employees on mobility and international transfer issues as required in partnership with Corporate Tax, the Visa Team, Compliance and Employment Law.
  • Partner with the HR Regulatory Remuneration team to understand and identify roles captured by the Senior Manager Certification regime and manage the requirements of the regulations in relation to the on-boarding of new hires.

Reward and Compensation

  • Work collaboratively with managers and HR counterparts in EMEA and the US during the Year End compensation process, providing advice and guidance on compensation decisions as appropriate.
  • Partner with the HR data team as necessary to produce management data, presenting this to the BU as required.
  • Assist in the completion of monthly and year-end audits, to ensure data is accurate and reliable, giving guidance on updates and corrections as necessary.
  • Advise managers on compensation structures and regulatory requirements.

Talent Management

  • Work with the business and global HR counterparts on annual cyclical processes relating to talent ranking, performance evaluation and promotion.
  • Support managers who have specific performance issues they wish to address through the evaluation process and on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure that evaluation summaries accurately reflect feedback reports and advise managers on appropriate wording where necessary.
  • Partner with the Talent team to ensure appropriate training and development is delivered across client group. *
  • Analyse and interpret feedback from exit interviews to provide insights to management as appropriate

  • Partner with the BU on a range of Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, participating and actively contributing to associated working groups.
  • Work collaboratively with the business to encourage the attraction and development of diverse talent

Profile

An Interim HRBP with:

  • A proven background within HR and strong HR generalist experience either within financial services, professional services, or the Technology industry.
  • An ability to manage and develop relationships at all levels and operate effectively within a global, matrix organisation structure.
  • Numerate, strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • A strong team player with the ability to operate independently, pro-actively and also collaborate effectively across the team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate fluently and effectively at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong client relationship skills with proven ability to influence and persuade clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to multi-task, perform effectively and efficiently under pressure and to adapt to change.
  • Strong results focus and ability to deliver.
  • Methodical, rational and logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage expectations of clients and colleagues.
  • High standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel
