Description

The successful Assembly Team Leader will:

  • Ensure that the cell meets the agreed daily targets on quantity, quality and delivery performance
  • Organise Work Orders making sure that customer delivery dates are met
  • Ensure cell members maintain good timekeeping standards including return to work after breaks
  • Recognise and report exceptional requirements or shortfalls for parts and components
  • Use components parts in a First in, First out stock rotation
  • Induct new team members and train them to the standard required
  • Deputise for Assembly Manager as required
  • Monitor the quantity and quality of output from individual team members and recognise, remedy or report problems
  • Monitor all aspects of team performance including skills and remedy or report problems
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment and good housekeeping standards
  • Maintain good communications and relationships throughout the company
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and make suggestions for improvement

Profile

We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who can demonstrate:

* To be able to lead and have experience in a production/assembly environment
* Able to plan and execute job prioritisation
* Communicate and relate well at all levels
* Able to work within a team or independently under own initiative
* Willing to voice opinion but also accept an alternative view and motivate others towards a common goal
* Supportive and reliable and flexible, able to motivate by promoting loyalty via mutual respect
* IT literate, preferably with good Excel skills
* Good interpersonal skills able to train and to coach

Job Offer

The successful Assembly Team Leader will receive:

  • 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
  • Company Pension 5% employee 3% employer
  • Death in Service Benefit payable at 1x salary
  • On site Parking
