Ashley Kate are delighted to be partnering with a leading organisation in their search for an experienced HR/ER Advisor to join them on a temp to perm basis.

This role will be based in their Slough office for the first month before moving to a remote/hybrid working model.

Salary is circa £38k.

You will have responsibility for employee relations cases ranging from absence management to ACAS liaison. You will participate in case management discussions and coach and mentor managers to be the best advocates of our Values they can be.
You will be responsible for a dedicated client group, being their main point of contact for HR issues and acting as a conduit to the other functions within HR.
This role reports into the ER Manager but with direct access to the Group HR Manager and Group HR Director for support and guidance. You will need to be competent in all Microsoft programmes, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as being able to understand other systems key to this role (time and attendance and payroll).

Main duties
·Provide advice to Line Management Teams on employment law, working arrangements, contractual matters, employee communication and consultation.
·Provide telephone advice to the line management team on employment matters.
·Draft template letters in relation to any informal/formal meetings relating to ER cases.
·Attendance (by phone/skype) at any meetings/hearings as deemed necessary to support Line Managers.
·Monitor and report to Line Management in relation to both short and long-term sickness absence issues.
·Maintain a detailed record of all cases, and advice provided.
·Work in conjunction with the HRBP's to effectively hand over relevant cases ensuring a smooth and consistent service is provided.
·Support Line Management Teams in the effective application of the grievance and disciplinary procedure.
·Drive improved capability in ER matters by delivery of upskilling workshops.
·Support Line Management Teams in closing out issues ensuring both legislation and company procedures are adhered too.
·Drive improvement in HR support services, delivering a great service in a timely and effective manner.

Experience -
·Extensive complex ER experience is essential.
·Strong employment law knowledge.
·Ability to build relationships with stakeholders,
·Ability to work at pace.
·Excellent communication skills.
