Your new role
Working with a forward-thinking General Manager, the HR Business Partner for the East of England will partner with the Regional Management teams, under the direction of the Head of HR, to deliver the business aligned People strategy as well as provide coaching and support to members of the supported management teams. Total headcount is around 150 employees and predominately based in Ipswich. The HR Business Partner will provide pro-active, value add HR support to the East of England region on short to medium term and operational people issues. Your focus areas will include capability, employee engagement, talent attraction/retention and identifying opportunities to streamline and modernise processes . You will work alongside two other HR Business Partners for the UK and be supported by central HR Administration, L&D and Recruitment teams.

What you'll need to succeed
They are looking for an established HR Business Partner or an ambitious Senior HR Advisor seeking their first Business Partner role. The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified (or equivalent) and can demonstrate strong business/commercial acumen with the knowledge and experience of implementing best practice HR solutions to drive a high-performance culture. You will have proven experience of building strong working relationships with managers in a complex working environment and be passionate about customer service. Be proactive, have a can-do attitude and can gain respect easily whilst having a laugh along the way. They will certainly be looking for evidence of solid ER experience and experience of coaching and influencing managers will be key, as will excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate and influence effectively to win hearts and minds. Experience of being involved in organisation change programmes and working with unions will be advantageous.

This is a hybrid, field-based role where you are likely to be on site 2/3 days a week in Ipswich and two other sites in Suffolk and Norfolk.
